You could also make the flowy wrap pants as shorts. My sister in-law made the sewn version in to shorts. I'm not ready for school to start either. It just seems like they are starting earlier and earlier.

That crescent is so strong it will rip the needles out of any machine!! You can tighten your tension to achieve 11 rows per inch if you like, probably a half turn up on the v cam, maybe less! I love how you are trying new things! I would have skipped the second ball of waste yarn and just cranked the project off of the machine and re wound it (it still happens to me too!!). I think you did great!!!
